Ophthalmic Technician

Job Description: Work directly with an ophthalmologist to provide patient care by performing eye-related clinical tasks such as:

  • Taking patient medical histories

  • Performing vision and diagnostic tests

  • Instructing patients about medications, tests, and procedures

  • Assisting with patient procedures

Working Conditions: 35 to 40 hours per week in clean, well-lit offices. You must have manual dexterity to operate equipment and the ability to spend much of the day walking and standing.

Salary and Benefits: Salaries vary depending on the level of training, experience, and level of certification. Benefits include health insurance, participation in our profit-sharing plan, holiday pay, and generous paid time off.

This career has long-term advancement potential, and higher levels of compensation and responsibility are available through achieving higher levels of certification.
